History of the Official P.A.W. Inc Lapel Pin

The first official P.A.W. Lapel pin, created by Dr. LaMonte McNeese, was commissioned by a letter and affidavit drafted by then presiding Bishop Charles H. Ellis III. It was sent from the headquarters office to Dr. McNeese, historian of the Mighty First Apostolic Council of Kentucky and Tennessee. Dr. Mac initially created the pin as a commemorative souvenir available during our Historic annual convention held in Detroit, Michigan.

The first offering of the pins were antique brass and 14 Karat gold plated. They commemorated our historic 100th Annual Convention. The prices were $10 for the antique brass and $19 for the gold plated.

Later a beautiful high polished chrome pin was added to the collection. The price for the chrome crest was set at $20 by Dr. McNeese.

Early In the year 2019 upon seeing the change in the official PAW crest (removal of the Ascending “Christ” image”) Dr. McNeese developed a newer chrome and burgundy trimmed lapel pin which did not feature the Christ image.  Many constituents of the P.A.W. reportedly did not like the removal of the “Jesus” image from the pin.  Due to its popularity and rising production costs, the price of the 2019 “Christless” pin was set at $21 USD.  To date, no Official explanation for the removal of the image has been received by this writer.

For reasons undisclosed to us, The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World contacted Dr. McNeese and requested to take possession of all the inventory and authorization to sell the P.A.W. logo Lapel pins. Dr. McNeese immediately and cordially complied.

The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World then generously reduced the cost of the aforementioned pins presumably for the convenience of its members at large or probably to rid its inventory of all pins which display the ascending Christ Jesus originally drawn by the early Bishop G.T. Haywood.

As with most successful companies and organizations the lapel pin represents the pride, Esprit De Cor and faith that the wearer has in an organization. The PAW is the oldest oneness organization in the world and wearers of the official PAW Inc lapel pin are happy and willing to proclaim that testimony.

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT

11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

Do you love our great organization? IF SO, It’s time to speak up and say so!

I created the beautiful Love P.A.W. pin in May 2022 for several reasons. The first is because of my belief that the oldest Oneness Pentecostal organization in the world can never have too much promotion.  More importantly, the mission of the project is to help members of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the world fashionably express their loyalty and Esprit De Cor when worn during the general convention.

The love P.A.W. pin allows members to also accentuate our unprecedented history collectively.

It is well known that Dr. McNeese is the creator and original distributor of the current 100th year anniversary celebration lapel pin, now sold exclusively by the organization through their bookstore. Click here to order.

During the 2018 PAW convention in Atlanta, GA before covid 19 hit, President Dr. Barbara Payne, (P.A.W. ICEA) suggested to Dr. McNeese, (in a word fitly spoken) that a gold pin with embedded silver would be an especially good look and carry a wider appeal than the previously created pins.

We agreed and went to work!  The result is that the handsome Love P.A.W. Pin is by far the most beautiful lapel crest representing Pentecost to date.
